(Chicago) Illinois House Republican Leader Tom Cross, chairman of the newly formed Pension Investments Committee, will host the first committee meeting on the 6^th floor of the Michael A. Bilandic Building, at 2 p.m. for a subject matter hearing on pension investment strategies.  Leader Cross will be available prior to the hearing for interviews at 1:45 p.m. outside of the hearing room.

“It has been brought to our attention that some of our pension funds have been taking a very risky approach with their investments.  This is especially troubling because our funds are already among the worst funded in the nation,” said Cross. “We plan to take a comprehensive look at the strategies in these funds and consult with experts on these matters.”
