Veterans Day Letter from Rep. Tom Cross

NOVEMBER 11, 2012

Dear Veteran:

As we celebrate Veterans Day, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation for your service to our country and for the example of honor and exemplary citizenship you continue to set within our community today.

Regardless of the branch of the U.S. Armed Forces in which you served, your sacrifice in defense of our freedoms demonstrates the finest of American traditions; duty, honor, and love of country. Please know how much your service has inspired and lifted up the aspirations of countless Americans. Your service not only brings honor and pride to your family and friends– but to our nation itself.

There are millions of Americans whose names you do not know – and whose faces you have not seen –whose appreciation and respect you have earned; and whose prayers remain with you to this very day. We recognize that being a “veteran” is much more than just an adjective; it speaks to the very character, integrity and heart which each of you have demonstrated throughout your lives.

On behalf of my entire family and staff, thank you again for your service in the U.S. Armed Forces. We honor and celebrate your individual and collective stories of heroism and sacrifice this Veterans Day. May you continue to be blessed with good health and prosperity in the days ahead.

Sincerely,
Tom Cross
House Republican Leader
State Representative, 84th District
