Springfield, IL…State Representative Tom Cross (R-Oswego)’s constitutional amendment that would ultimately, if voters agree, eliminate the Lieutenant Governor’s office, passed out of the Illinois House today. 

 “In an effort to streamline Illinois government, the majority of my colleagues in the Illinois House agreed that we do not need this executive office,” said Cross.  “This measure could ultimately save taxpayers $2 million.”
